We have two different glass jar sizes currently available. The large 32 oz jar typically will feed 1-2 adults. If you are ordering for a family of 4, 2 to 3 jars of this size will typically suffice. These jars range from $14-16 each and prices are subject to change based on market prices. Our 16 oz glass jar provides exactly ½ the amount of the 32 oz jar and is perfect for single size lunches, on the go needs, picnics or corporate catering events. These jars must be purchased in 2’s and the price for 2 ranges from $20-$22. All jars include a $1 deposit that is refundable upon return in good condition. We also offer a non-returnable plastic 16 oz jar - also sold in sets of 2 - for meals on the go.
-
On your delivery day leave your empty jars outside along with a cooler and multiple ice packs to keep the jars cold if you will not be home. Refrigerate your delivered jars as soon as possible until you are ready to enjoy them!
Our Order Jars page will list items available this week. Please notice the dates listed above the menu items as we offer limited weekly choices to ensure the highest quality product. Place your order in advance and your fresh food will be delivered to your doorstep. We know that many people have specific dietary needs so we have varied options weekly. You can find details on the specifics of the salad or soups on the Nutritional Info labels on each product page. The ingredient list is also on the product page and will be attached to each jar. Seasonal substitutions are often implemented so please specify any dietary allergies or dislikes when ordering.
Crafted by a Registered Dietitian, the menu includes choices suitable for vegetarians or vegans, gluten or dairy free diets. Low-FODMAP (fermentable oligo-, di-, mono-saccharides and polyols) salads will be available upon special request. Some of our products do contain nuts so please read the ingredient lists carefully and do not hesitate to contact us for further clarifications. We do produce our salads in a facility that processes gluten, nuts, milk, fish and soy. You can trust our commitment to using products that are non GMO, organic and locally sourced as often as possible within our climate zone. Please send us an inquiry for specific product sources.
We are committed to minimizing waste so we encourage you to return your glass jar for reuse with a $1 deposit that is good towards your next delivery after jar return. Consider ordering salads and soups to take to work, lunches for the kids, dinner meals and catering for business meetings or other catered events. FAQ

Where do you deliver to?
We deliver to Acton, Concord, Lincoln, Lexington and parts of Waltham, Carlisle, Bedford, Sudbury, Maynard, Weston and Wayland, MA. There is a 3 jar minimum for delivery. Please see the map area on our Contact page.

I’m just outside your delivery area, can you deliver Happy Jars to me?
Please email or call us to see if we can put you on our route.
How will I know when my jars are going to be delivered?
Jars will be transported in temperature controlled coolers. You will get an email confirmation of delivery once your jars are at your house or office.
How do jar deposits work?
A $1 deposit will be automatically charged for each jar and refunded on your next purchase after jar return.
Do I need to wash my jars before returning them?
Please rinse out excess food, but there is no need to dishwash. All jars are washed and sanitized in an approved commercial kitchen space before being reused.
What is the best way to eat my Happy Jar Salad or Soup?
Keep the jars upright to keep the dressing separate from the salad ingredients. Remove the salad from refrigeration 10 minutes prior to eating. Remove the extra dressing at the top of the jar, replace the top and shake vigorously. Pour onto a plate or eat straight from the jar! Add extra dressing per personal taste. Soups can be reheated in the microwave in the jar (remove metal top prior to heating) or in a bowl or mug. They can be heated on a stove top in a pan or by placing the jar in a pan of boiling water.
How long will my Happy Jars stay fresh in my refrigerator?
There is a use-by date on each label. The jars have been designed to retain optimal freshness for up to 5-7 days.
Can I make special requests for my salad?
Please limit requests to one per salad, excluding dressing requests. One ingredient swap is allowed per salad as long as we have it available as a product that week. If we do not have the item you have requested, we will add extra salad greens as an equivalent replacement. Additional 2 oz protein such as chicken or eggs will be an additional charge of $2.00 per jar and may result in less volume of other ingredients. The Nutrient Label is based on the ingredient list for the posted jar.
Where can I find the Nutrition label for each jar?
On The Jars page you will see the nutrition information label below the Jar photo. The Nutrient Label provides nutrient information for a ½ jar serving. The information is based on 1 tbsp dressing per ½ jar. An additional 1 tbsp dressing is provided with the jar in the event that extra dressing is desired.
